How we make sure to do the right thing

We’re proud to be an Outstanding CQC-registered social care support provider. We’re committed to doing things the right way, following all regulations, and delivering the highest quality support.

Our priority is to ensure the people we support are safe, happy, and receive the compassionate care they deserve.

Our trustees

Simply put, our trustees help keep us on track and make sure we can continue our important work.

Our trustees play a vital role in guiding and supporting our charity. They help set our strategic direction, making sure we stay focused on our mission and use our resources effectively to achieve our goals. They bring valuable experience, skills, and dedication, volunteering their time to help us grow and make a positive impact.

Lianne McGinnes

Trustee

I’ve been a Trustee with Options for a year. Passionate about people, communities, and social justice, I believe in equality and independent living. I’m an experienced community developer, qualified life coach, and person-centred counsellor.

Irene Byrne-Watts

Trustee

As an NHS Director, I admired Options’ commitment to person-centred support and a better world for people with disabilities. I retired from the NHS after 30 years, having trained as a Learning Disability Nurse.

Louise Barry

Trustee

I’ve been a Trustee at Options for over 26 years. I’m a passionate advocate for equality and people with disabilities. Currently, I’m CEO of Healthwatch Cheshire, a Governor at The City of Liverpool College, and former CEO of Merseyside Disability Federation.

Julia Erskine

Trustee

Options’ unique values and person-centred support inspire me. I founded Merseyside Partners in Policy Making, advocating for disability rights and supporting families. Our national group champions the right to live freely and advises government and NHS bodies.

We continually listen, learn and improve

Options has a culture of continuous improvement, and to do this, we make sure there are regular forums where views and thoughts can be expressed. For instance, we regularly hold:

Voices R Us

a forum for People we support to discuss what’s going well, what isn’t going well, what they’re looking forward to, and what Options can do to help.

Staff voice

a forum for Staff to discuss future ideas and any operational issues they may have.

Family engagement events

a chance for family members to give their thoughts and feedback to our Leadership team.
