Our ambition
A better world for people with disabilities

Creating a better world for people with disabilities
For over 30 years we’ve been supporting people to live full and interesting lives across Liverpool, Wirral and Sefton. A full life is one that balances the every day with the exceptional. From going to the shops, to making friends to going on holiday, a better world is one that’s rich in experiences, a place where you feel like you belong. We believe this should be a reality for everyone, regardless of their abilities. We know that the world isn’t designed for people with disabilities, which is why we campaign alongside them to make it more inclusive and welcoming.
Vision
A better world where people with disabilities contribute as unique and valued members of dynamic and inclusive communities.
Our mission
We support, empower, and enable people with disabilities to live their lives to the full. Our skilled, talented and dedicated team challenges the social care system. We work collaboratively with families, carers, partners and our communities to offer genuine person-centred support. Every person we support has the opportunity to have a healthy, active and fulfilled life
“With support, I focused on social activities and dating. Now, I attend club nights independently, have reconnected with friends, and met my girlfriend.”

Creating an accessible world for everyone
We advocate and deliver exceptional person-centred support because the system has failed people for too long. Many of the people we support would face (or have faced) long-stay institutional care settings that ignore individual needs and create unfulfilling lives for the people who experience them. We believe that everyone has the right to choose the life they live, where they live or who they choose to share life with.
Much of what ‘disables’ a person is to do with the environment around them. How understanding are their family and friends? How accessible are their communities? Their physical environment? Person-centred thinking encourages communities to think about individuals and make reasonable adjustments to enable them, rather than disable them.
We believe it’s our job to campaign for this change, play an active role in making it happen so that we can transform the lives of the people we support. If you think that sounds like a world you want to be part of, support our work. Let’s make full lives for people with disabilities possible.
